Quiet Riot - 10

Quiet Riot is a band who has been around for quite some time even having a number 1 album with their debut "Mental Health" but as years gone by their future seemed grim when lead singer Kevin Durbrow passed away. The next few years saw the band performing with a few lead vocalists with no new music to look forward to, That is until recently when the band released "10" now featuring Ex Love & Hate vocalist Jizzy pearl. I for one, was looking forward to this released only for the fact that i have seen Jizzy perform with RATT, and thought he did an outstanding job. The cd starts of with a song sure to be an anthem "Rock In Peace". The vocals are outstanding and the song is a catchy number. Can't help but sing along with it."Bang Your Buck" follows which is another uptempo rocker, parts of it reminding me of "Gimme Some Lovin" from Steve Winwoods "Spencer Davis Group". This is another catchy number which i found myself pressing the rewind button a few times." Backside Water" follows which is a moderate rock track and jizzy really knows how to take control, the band is in top form."Back On You" follows and grabs you and does not let go until your banging your head by songs end."Band Down" slows things down follow by "Dogbone Alley". The following 4 songs which end the disc are live tracks with Kevin Dubrow on vocals and not being much of a fan of live tracks, I would let the fans decide on their thoughts. Overall i think its a nice introduction to jizzy pearl and the future of Quiet Riot.
