Chromeo - White Women

Chromeo is a canadian electo-funk duo i first heard on a canadian radio station when their single "Sexy Socialite" was playing. I was hooked after i heard their next single "Jealous". I then caught a performance on Palladia tv in which their Coachella performance was aired and i was really impressed. I presonally like the way they mix electro music with funk, which brings to minds bands from the disco era such as Earth,Wind & fire and other artists within the same relms. Their cd "White Women" is a fun piece of work. The cd starts of with their current single " Jealous" follow by "Come Alive" which features "Toro Y Moi". "Over Your Shoulder" brings to mind a song which could easily have been done by Chic, the guitar remind me of Niles Rodgers. The song which i really enjoyed "Sexy Socialite" follows which then "Lost On The Way Home" slows things down and sounds like a song which could have easily been released in the 80s. Overall the cd is a good cd which may take some people back to the 70/80s age of funk.
